My homebrew browser
Well I've posted a video of my homebrew web browser.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrGp8jUsqjk
- It requires a PC application. It's definitely required, because the HTML parsing isn't done on the DS, but on the PC. There are already powerful HTML rendering engines (Internet Explorer, Gecko...) so I just thought I'd reuse them.
- You can definitely connect from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. It's simple: the PC application acts like a server, so wherever you are in the world you can connect to the application, as long as it's running on your PC. You only need to know your own IP address (for what it's worth, I recommend DynDns.org).
- It's not a goddamn fake. I'm an administrator at GBAtemp.net, former admin at Playeradvance.org, and I hate fakes. I will post the source & compiled version regularly. You can also visit me on IRC (on EFNET) my nick is Costello.
Allright, I hope this will clear things up a bit. Now it's only the beginning! I've got larger projects, I've been discussing with Mollusk and we're going to try to start a bigger project - anyhow, stay tuned!
